Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes redness, flushing, and visible blood vessels on the face. It can also cause pimple-like bumps, dry and sensitive skin, and, in severe cases, a bulbous nose.

The exact cause of rosacea is not known, but it is believed to be a combination of genetic and environmental factors, such as sun exposure, stress, and certain foods and beverages.

Rosacea most commonly affects individuals with fair skin, particularly those over the age of 30.

The condition can be frustrating and embarrassing for those who have it, as it can significantly impact their self-esteem and quality of life.

Treatment for rosacea varies depending on the severity and type of symptoms.

Mild cases may be managed with skincare and lifestyle changes, such as avoiding triggers, using gentle skincare products, and applying sunblock.

More severe cases may require medications, such as topical or oral antibiotics.

Early and consistent treatment can help to manage symptoms, prevent the progression of the condition, and improve overall skin health.
