ZO Skin Health and Medical at Perfection Skin & Beauty Clinic

This March, Perfection Skin and Beauty Clinic is delighted to announce the launch of leading cosmeceutical skincare range ZO Skin Health and Medical by Dr Zein Obagi.

ZO is a highly exclusive and award winning product range, containing high percentage of Vitamin A (one of the best anti-ageing ingredients on the market), hence the market is not saturated with ZO clinics and spas.

Innovative Science for Healthy Skin
ZO is a world-class developer of advanced skincare products and regimes designed for use at home to address specific skincare goals.
The range contains specific options for difficult skin conditions including:

  • Acne
  • Ageing
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Inflammation
  • Rosacea
  • Sensitive Skin
  • Sun damage

During your consultation you will receive a tailor-made treatment regime which prepares and treats the skin with gentle or intensive formulations according to your unique skincare requirements.

As ZO is an incredibly effective product due to the high concentrations of active ingredients it is imperative everyone wishing to use the ZO range comes in for a full consultation and skin analysis so that we can choose the most appropriate products for your skin-type to improve your skin.

Dr Zein Obaji proudly states that ZO is “Delivering clinically proven results, these solutions maintain healthy skin that is strong, smooth and firm, evenly toned, and fully hydrated.  Results are remarkable, even on quite challenging skin conditions.”

ZO Medical
We will also be stocking a range of ZO Medical products which are used as targeted treatment regimes. They are prescribed by medical professionals only, so these specific products will only be available when our Nurse Julie Brackenbury is in the salon as these products are even more concentrated for specifically and effectively targeting skin conditions. This may be as a stand-alone treatment programme or in conjunction with other aesthetic treatments, such as our Micro -Needling with SkinPen Precision.

ZO Skin Peels

Also available at Perfection are professional Skin Peels using the ZO Range, however anyone wishing to book a peel must have prepped their skin using the ZO products, six weeks prior to the peel, so the skin is prepped and accustomed to the strength of these products.

How does ZO work and how is it different…?

ZO Skin Health and Medical products aim to maintain skin health and to treat problem skin, by working from the inside out, as opposed to the quick fixes offered by many topical treatments available on the high street. Put simply, they work by first activating, and then stimulating skin cells to repair, replenish and maintain themselves.

Instead of continually applying moisturisers to temporarily plump up the surface dead skin cells, which consequently fades the appearance of fine lines, ZO works by feeding the skin from the inside out so you do not have to rely on these temporary methods, aswell as having a healthier more youthful looking skin.

The way ZO products do this, is via a multi-step process:

  1. Cleanse and Scrub – To get rid of any surface debris on the skin, and slough away any dead skin cells.
  2. Oil Control and Tone – To either control excess oil production or soothe dry skin.
  3. Treatment – To prepare the barrier of the skin to maximise the absorption of the active ingredients, for optimum effect.
  4. Calm and Nourish – To soothe the skin from irritation and provide hydration, as well as anti-inflammatory action.
  5. Protect – To prevent any further skin damage, with protection against UVA and UVB rays from the sun, as well as HEV (high energy visible) or blue light.

Duration of Effects
It takes approximately 6 weeks of using ZO products before the effects become visible; and you will continue to see positive results as you carry on with the regime. It is important to note, that although the products will improve the visible signs of ageing, they do not stop the ageing process (as with any skin care brand).

ZO products are suitable for all skin types and ages. However, they may not be compatible with certain skin conditions or medications. When you book in for your Skin Assessment we will make sure we go over everything thoroughly so you are confident that that ZO products will compliment your skin type.

Reported Side Effects
Retinol (Vitamin A) is a powerful anti-ageing product that encourages healthy action in cells, as well as promoting cell renewal and growth. This will help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, because retinol is so potent, it can cause irritation to the skin, as well as peeling, which is a completely normal reaction as you start to build up tolerance to these concentrated formulations.

The products can only be bought through approved stockist cosmetic clinics with ZO trained therapists. A treatment `kit` or plan will be created to target your specific skincare needs and some specific products can only be prescribed by our Nurse Julie Brackenbury. Michelle is our on-sight ZO Expert so she can guide you through the entire range, answer any questions you have and recommend the suitable products for your skin type or any concerns you may have.

Prices for the ZO Skin Health products start from approximately £23, so even though it is a highly exclusive product brand, the products themselves sit in the same price range as our Guinot and Darphin ranges.

As you can probably tell, we are super excited to be launching this new range this week! If you would like to book in for a skin-care consultation, you can book in for a 30 minute Skin Assessment with Michelle for £15 which is fully redeemable against all products.  Please call 01666 822811 to book now.

Important: Do not be tempted to buy products over the internet, or from family and friends, as a proper check of your skin will determine what is, and is not, suitable for you to use.

Pregnant and breast feeding women should avoid treatment unless they have the permission from their GP.
